Product Overview

A three-phase voltage protector is a DIN-rail protection device that continuously monitors the voltage and current of a three-phase four-wire supply and disconnects the downstream load when a preset limit is exceeded. The TPBG-12 performs this function with six independent display windows — one voltage and one current reading for each of L1, L2 and L3 — so an installer can verify the whole supply at a glance instead of switching between readings or adding separate panel meters.

All fifteen protection parameters are adjustable from the front panel using the SET and arrow keys. Over- and undervoltage trip points, their recovery values, three-phase voltage unbalance, overcurrent limit, current imbalance and the associated action delays can each be tuned to the site rather than accepted as fixed factory values. This matters on weak grids and generator-fed installations, where a protector set too tight nuisance-trips all day and one set too loose leaves motors and compressors exposed.

The TPBG-12 also detects reversed phase sequence, displaying L1-L3-L2 and dropping the output before a three-phase motor can run backwards. Recovery is automatic once the supply returns within the hysteresis band; a continuous overcurrent lockout requires manual reset, so a repeating fault cannot cycle unattended. TYPLE supplies the TPBG-12 in 63 A, 80 A and 100 A versions, backed by more than 10+ years in the Liushi low-voltage electrical supply hub.

Fault Indication and Reset Behaviour

Condition Display Behaviour
Power-on / reset countdown Countdown in seconds on the L1 window, live voltage on L2 and L3 Output relays close when the delay expires
Overvoltage or undervoltage Live voltage and current values flash, >V or <V indicator lights Output drops; resets automatically once the supply returns within the hysteresis band
Three-phase voltage unbalance Fault indicator lights Output drops; recovers when unbalance falls below the P-9 value
Overcurrent >A indicator lights, values flash Output drops; resets automatically after the recovery delay
Continuous overcurrent oFF
on all three current windows

TPBG-12 Applications

Commercial and light industrial distribution boards — protects three-phase feeders in workshops, cold rooms and small factories where the incoming supply is the weakest link in the installation.

Motor, pump and compressor circuits — phase sequence detection prevents reverse rotation on start-up, while current imbalance and overcurrent settings guard windings against single-phasing and mechanical overload.

Generator-fed and unstable grid sites — adjustable trip points and delays let installers in regions with frequent voltage swings set a threshold the site can actually live with, instead of replacing tripped equipment.

Building services and rental power — six-window metering gives facility teams a permanent readout of the supply condition without adding separate panel meters to the board.

Three-Phase Voltage Protector OEM & Customization

TYPLE offers flexible OEM and ODM services for three-phase voltage protectors, including pre-configured factory defaults for your target market, front-panel and enclosure branding, custom labelling and retail or bulk packaging. Backed by the Liushi low-voltage electrical supply hub, we deliver customized solutions with short lead times, and can quote the TPBG-12 alongside the MCBs, SPDs and distribution enclosures that sit in the same board.

TPBG-12 FAQ

What is a three-phase voltage protector used for?

It monitors a three-phase four-wire supply and disconnects the downstream load when voltage, current, phase balance or phase sequence moves outside the limits you set, protecting motors, compressors and distribution equipment from damage.

Can the overvoltage and undervoltage set points be adjusted?

Yes. Overvoltage is settable from 120 to 300 V and undervoltage from 80 to 210 V, each with its own recovery value and action delay, all adjustable from the front panel using the SET and arrow keys.

Can the overvoltage and undervoltage set points be adjusted?

Yes. Overvoltage is settable from 120 to 300 V and undervoltage from 80 to 210 V, each with its own recovery value and action delay, all adjustable from the front panel using the SET and arrow keys.

Does the TPBG-12 reset automatically after a fault?

Voltage and overcurrent faults reset automatically once the supply recovers within the hysteresis band and the recovery delay expires. A continuous overcurrent lockout shows oFF on the current windows and requires manual reset.

How does the TPBG-12 handle a reversed phase sequence?

It displays L1-L3-L2 on the voltage windows and disconnects the protector from the output supply, preventing three-phase motors from starting in reverse.

Is the TPBG-12 available for OEM branding?

Yes. TYPLE supports custom factory default settings, panel and enclosure branding, labelling and packaging, with short lead times for OEM and ODM orders.
